Los Baños, Laguna, comes alive with the vibrant Bañamos Festival, an annual celebration that not only marks the municipality’s founding anniversary but also pays tribute to its famed hot spring baths. The festival encapsulates the essence of Los Baños, often hailed as the “Science and Nature City,” through a diverse array of events and activities.

At the heart of the Bañamos Festival is a spectacular showcase of both natural beauty and scientific innovation. The festival features a grand civic parade and a lively street dancing competition, where participants embody the town’s rich cultural heritage and festive spirit. The beauty pageant adds a touch of glamour, celebrating the charm and grace of the local community.
One of the festival’s highlights is the Los Baños Science Community open house and exhibits, offering a glimpse into the town’s pioneering role in science and technology. Visitors can explore interactive displays and learn about the groundbreaking work being done in this vibrant scientific hub.
The festival also includes the thrilling Mt. Makiling eco-challenge, a race that invites participants to engage with the region’s natural landscapes and test their endurance. Complementing this are traditional games in the “palarong pinoy” and a showcase of local culinary delights, including the much-anticipated buco pie fest.
Additional major events during the Bañamos Festival include the “War of Our Fathers,” the Los Baños Flower and Garden Show, the UP Los Baños Orchid and Garden Show, and various cultural performances like the sayawang bayan.
